Life can be a lot at times, and sometimes we (and our nervous system) need support. Living in survival mode for too long can quietly wear down your sense of safety, energy, and hope.

I specialize in the impact of trauma, supporting people in healing old wounds while reconnecting them with their inner strengths. I also work with people navigating life’s heavy or challenging moments, including stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.

My approach is about seeing you as a whole person and honoring how your relationships, culture, community, and the world around you shape your experience.

A bit about my approach

I believe there are many ways to provide therapy, and we’ll work together to find what’s best for you. I follow your lead, honoring your pace and what feels most important to you. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and genuinely supported. My style is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I often weave in mindfulness practices to help you feel more grounded and connected along the way.

I believe the counselor’s role is not to impart wisdom onto clients, but to help them access the wisdom within themselves that has been buried or disconnected due to trauma.

I am certified in Brainspotting and trained in EMDR. These are gentle yet powerful mind-body approaches that support the processing and release of trauma while helping to calm the nervous system. Neither of them asks you to narrate what happened in detail.

What you can expect from our first session

Our first session is a chance for me to get to know you, in a thoughtful, supportive space. We’ll talk about what brings you in, explore any goals or hopes you have for therapy, and go over some of your history to help me understand the bigger picture. There’s no pressure to share everything at once, we’ll move at your pace, and you’re always in control of what you choose to share.

We’ll also go over some basic logistics, such as confidentiality, scheduling, and how I work as a therapist.

Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’ve done this before, together we can work on clarifying what’s important to you and how you want to show up for yourself and others.
