How I work
Depression therapy
When everything takes more than it should.
It isn’t always sadness
Depression often shows up as flatness rather than grief. Things you used to care about land at a distance. Small tasks cost more than they should. You’re still going to work, still answering messages, and quietly running on empty underneath it.
That version is easy to dismiss, because from the outside nothing looks wrong.
How we might work
We start with what your days actually look like, because depression is as much about what has quietly stopped as about how you feel.
From there it depends on what is underneath. Sometimes depression follows a loss or a transition. Sometimes it sits on top of something older. If it turns out to be the second, the trauma work I do is relevant, and we would talk about that openly before going anywhere near it.
